Queens Day

Today we celebrated Queens Day in The Netherlands. The whole country turns orange and there are festivities everywhere.

The weather wasn't great but we had fun anyway. We went to the little city Zutphen and visited a small fair where the children got in a cute little Merry-go-round (last photo).

We had a drink at Driekant where they make and sell lovely organic food and drinks (photo 2).

And of course we walked by all the children selling their toys, books, lemonade etc (Vrijmarkt).

On the way back home we went to a restaurant (NuNu) to grab a bite. Normally the children don't eat hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles) or anything with sugar but today the restaurant surprised Jade and Leff with a very nice sandwich with hagelslag, strawberries, blueberries and grape (first photo). What a party.

Drie

Nu hebben we naast de twee Grote Driehoek Legspelen ook een Kleine.

Fijn mee te nemen en goed voor de fijne motoriek. Omdat het geen hele platte stukjes zijn maar stukjes van 1 cm dik kan er ook wat mee gebouwd worden.
De jaarringen en alle toebehoren zijn een enorme hit en om iedereen nog meer te verwennen zijn er nu twee nieuwe elementen. De slak in het roze en in het blauw.
Drie verschillende prachtige kaartensets. Twee met cijfers en 1 met letters en ze zijn zo ontzettend mooi, ook leuk te combineren met de jaarringen doormiddel van de kaartenhouders en natuurlijk ook met de kaartenstandaards.

En nog veel meer moois van Grimm's te vinden in de shop.

Popje

Alles van Käthe Kruse is weer aangevuld en we hebben natuurlijk ook weer wat nieuws.

In roze en blauw hebben we de bovenstaande rammelaarpopjes.

Dit biologisch dynamisch rammelaarpopje van Käthe Kruse is speciaal bedoeld voor de allerkleinste.

We hebben wat nieuwe plaatjes in de shop die ik graag even laat zien. Inspirerend!

We hebben ook weer allemaal moois en nieuws en we verwachten volgende week weer een nieuwe levering.

Pyjama

Kijk hem eens lekker zitten in zijn nieuwe pyjama, heerlijk voor in en om het huis en verder :)

Vest

Allemaal heerlijk biologisch katoen van Living Crafts (GOTS).

Van de kindervesten (die ook als jas gebruikt kan worden) heb ik maar een paar maatjes besteld, maar ze zijn zo heerlijk dat ik mijn best ga doen nog meer maten bij te bestellen (geef wensen gerust door).

En pyjama's voor volwassenen (niet alleen voor de nacht) en wat zijn ze mooi en heerlijk.

Kwak

Helemaal nieuw in de shop zijn o.a. deze prachtige grauwe ganzen van Buntspechte. Mooi he!

Er is ook weer het een en ander aangevuld.

Assignment 4: Light & Abstract

The fourth and last assignment of the photo workshop spring 2010 organized by C&C photography is Light & Abstract.
I had a hard time with this assignment, both with light and landscape. The light seems to be very hard in Holland or at least at the time I made the photos. And landscapes are not something I normally make photos of. I always feel that a real subject or something interesting is missing when I try to make one. The landscape photos above are from the floodplains from the river (IJssel) that gave the name to the province (Overijssel) that I live in. Lots of birds live there or stay there for a while when migrating.

I learned so much from this workshop. The assignments made me look differently and made me experiment with things and I had so much fun during it. To look at the photos from all the participants was wonderful too. I learned so much by seeing how others make photos and see their world.
Thank you so much for this fantastic experience and I can’t wait for the next workshop.

Knikkerbaan

Vandaag kwam er weer nieuwe Grimm's binnen.

Een knikkerbaan die je zelf in en uit elkaar kunt halen, de kleuren zijn zo fijn en een belletje klingelt naar beneden.

Natuurlijk ook weer allerlei moois aangevuld zoals de Mandala Puzzel en de 1001 Nachten.

Assignment 3: Color Story Photo

This week I had some purple thoughts, the little fairy said as the spring breeze soundlessly went through her hair.

Purple? The wise old owl whispered and his voice faded away into the air.

The little fairy closed her eyes, a beam of sunshine made her eyelashes sparkle.

…Spring had come late this year, but now that it had arrived it blossomed…

The owl was quiet, waiting for the story to start.

… I flew over fields with the most beautiful purple flowers the fairy said…

I saw the sweetest little boy painting with more shades of purple than I ever have seen …

And on my feet I had magical purple shoes that sometimes turned in to sparkling yellow…

The little fairy opened her eyes and smiled as she looked at her old friend.

Purple, the owl mumbled hmmm…. love it.

The third assignment of the photo workshop spring 2010 organized by C&C photography is Color Story Photo.

I really loved the assignment, but got lost in all the ideas I came up with, to little time and to much for one post. Being selective was not easy.
It was funny to see that I got so inspired because I could choose my favorite color. And also all the photos I saw on other blogs I visited Saturday to look at the still life’s, inspired me very much. It was wonderful to experiment with the new lens this week (micro 60mm).

Purple, green and blue are my favorite colors and the complement colors of purple and green > yellow and red are my least favorite colors. Looking forward seeing your Color Story's
