The fourth and last assignment of the photo workshop spring 2010 organized by C&C photography is Light & Abstract.I had a hard time with this assignment, both with light and landscape. The light seems to be very hard in Holland or at least at the time I made the photos. And landscapes are not something I normally make photos of. I always feel that a real subject or something interesting is missing when I try to make one. The landscape photos above are from the floodplains from the river (IJssel) that gave the name to the province (Overijssel) that I live in. Lots of birds live there or stay there for a while when migrating.
I learned so much from this workshop. The assignments made me look differently and made me experiment with things and I had so much fun during it. To look at the photos from all the participants was wonderful too. I learned so much by seeing how others make photos and see their world.
Thank you so much for this fantastic experience and I can’t wait for the next workshop.

When I see your work I think "fresh". Beautiful abstract and macros...I think the light is stunning, really illuminates your beautiful images. Your landscape collage is Fabby, you really have an eye for compostion. I am so glad you joined the group and so pleased that you had a good experience.

Die eerste foto, groen met groen met groen met creme - MOOI! En je close-ups van de roze roos! De weerspiegeling is prachtig en je landschapsfoto's zijn ècht geweldig - ik voel hetzelfde over landschapsfotografie, maar vind wat je hier gedaan hebt toch wel HEEL goed gelukt! En jammer dat je al die vogels niet kunt horen bij de foto's - die maken het 'beeld' compleet :)

you've told a sort of mini color story in your sets of photos, and i love the light that infuses your photos. my very favorite is the water and grasses -- the curved shape of the grasses and their reflection with the straight line of the water is so great! thanks for sharing your lovely work with us!
